Poplar Buds are rich in salicins, a precursor to salicylic acid, a compound known to help relieve discomfort and aches. The sweet scent of Poplar Buds calms the mind and brings a sense of ease. Used throughout history, this salve will calm, restore and nourish your skin.

How to Use: Apply to aching muscles and joints, apply before bed to aid in relaxation, or in the morning as a solid perfume.

Ingredients: Simmondsia Chinesis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Adeps Bovis (Beef Tallow)**, Cera Alba (Beeswax), Populus balsamifera L. (Poplar) Bud***

• Jojoba Oil - this "oil" is technically a liquid plant wax and is often used to soothe dry, chapped skin.

• Grass-fed beef tallow is a great moisturizer as it closely resembles the skin's cell structure, helping to retain the skin's natural moisture barriers.

• Beeswax - acts as a humectant, helping the skin attract and retain moisture. We are obsessed with the sweet-smelling, cappings wax from our friends at Gull Lake Honey. Beeswax helps protect skin, and seals in moisture.  

• Poplar Buds - wildcrafted in early spring, poplar buds create a grounding and slightly sweet scent. Rich in salicins, a precursor to salicylic acid, poplar buds have been used throughout time in applications such as tender joints, sore muscles and more
